Report Drought Impacts
The University of Arizona Cooperative Extension and the Arizona Department of Water Resources are developing an online Drought Impacts Reporting System to allow citizens across the state to easily report drought impacts in their area.

Who can report drought impacts?
Anyone and everyone! Arizona’s online tool will provide easy reporting capabilities to anyone who is interested in helping to monitor drought.

We are interested in hearing from:
  • Citizen reporters
  • Watershed groups
  • Farmers
  • Ranchers
  • Land management professionals - local, state and federal
  • Water resource professionals
What type of impacts will be reported?
  • Agriculture
  • Aquatic life and wildlife
  • Vegetation
  • Hydrology and water resources
How do communities benefit from reporting drought impacts?
  • Local observations provide a more accurate picture of drought in Arizona.
  • Information can be used for local level planning efforts.
  • Real impacts to Arizona citizens can be demonstrated to state leaders.
  • Resources can be directed to most impacted areas.
  • Web site users can view and compare other impacts in their area and statewide.
We need to hear from you! Visit Arizona’s Drought Impacts Reporting System. For more information on drought planning and preparedness in Arizona, visit the Arizona Department of Water Resources Statewide Drought Program web site.
